As you'll notice by the upgraded kitchen, we're visiting Savannah's grandparents this weekend. She hasn't connected James being Dada yet but he's still very much enjoying hearing her say it. (It gets good about the 30 second mark.)

Tasty Toes
On more than one occassion in the past week or so we've heard Savannah going to town on what we think is a pacifier, further inspection reveals we're completely wrong.
I can't wait to show these to her first boyfriend. When she's 30.

Obsessed
When you have someone with a golf obsession in your house, your child's clothes for Masters week are planned in advance by said obsessed golfer. Scandal/rehab stint aside, the golfer in this house is still Tiger's #1 fan. I even saw him perusing some website to try to match Savannah's outfits to that of Mr. Woods. (I feel the need to mention that James doesn't condone the extra-marital affairs or approve of the choices Tiger has made in his personal life, his support is limited to his skill on the golf course.) Perhaps someone else is in need of 12 step, although 12 very different steps.
(at the time of the photo we were still searching for an acceptable version of "Sunday red")
We didn't manage to snap a picture on Thursday but we managed to capture every other outfit in some form.

Easter
Holy crap, I'm tired. We hosted Easter this year as a somewhat last minute decision. Usually we let my mom handle all the hard work and we swoop in just in time for dinner and the adult Easter egg hunt - cash and booze in the plastic eggs, but we gained a nephew on Thursday afternoon so she was out of town snuggling with her new grandbaby (and if someone, anyone would e-mail me pictures rather than texting them to me I would post pictures of him here - hint, hint).
It was a pretty simple meal (ham, potato casserole, veggies, salad and cake) and it was just James, Savannah, Uncle Patrick, Uncle Andy and I but I feel like I cooked for 25 people. I think it was just that the Princes woke up at 6 a.m. and then we were pretty much non-stop from there and it didn't help that the she only took a combined 60 minutes worth of naps in 12 hours, she was in a fine mood but that obviously didn't leave us much time to relax.
Anyway, onto the pictures.
The Easter Bunny left her a new dress, Green Eggs & Ham, some bath toys, new snacks, an Easter bib, Easter socks and a toy cell phone that she can drop all she wants and not worry about breaking it - unlike my phone, which I thought I had insurance on, that is now no longer working.
Beeline for the phone.
Tin cans are fun to play with.
Bath toys sure are tasty.
Who cares about my Easter basket, I spy dog food!
''
Then we got all gussied up and headed to church, I'd say we clean up rather well.
And the Princess even got a gift from Aunt Kristina and Uncle Joe!

9 months
Princess Savannah...
...weighs 18 lbs., 11oz and is 27 1/2 " tall.
...threw a fit at the doctor's office on Friday, it started as soon as we had to strip her down to her diaper to get her weighed and lasted until we got outside. I'm sure the shot in each leg and the finger prick didn't help. The doctor was SO good with her though (which, I guess that should come as no surprise since children are obviously their speciality), letting her play with stethescope and lights to look in her eyes and mouth before he used them on her.
...eats bananas, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, zucchini, carrots, apples, pears, peaches, chicken, avocado, mango, papaya, kiwi, graham crackers and Cheerio's. She seems to like everything except kiwi, although she does tolerate it. Her favorite foods are bananas and avocado.
...has never had formula! It's been a ltitle stressful for me lately because my supply has definitely decreased, the amount I'm able to pump at work is just enough to send to daycare but as long as it's enough, I'm happy. I think at this point I'll keep going until she decides she's done or until she's a year old, whichever comes first. I love that I've been able to breastfeed for so long but I can't wait to have a bowl of cereal and a vanilla latte with real milk (instead of soy).
...has been rather attached to me lately. I'm not going to lie, I love it. But it does make me sad to see James' face when she's reaching for me while he's holding her and to know that he feels helpless as she starts wailing when I walk out of the room.
...still isn't sleeping through the night, she usually only wakes up once around 2 or 3, nurses and goes right back to sleep.until 6:30-7:00. At this point I think it's more my fault than hers, she doesn't need to eat she just does because I'm offering. If I just let her cry a little longer or send James in I think it would only take a few nights and we'd be set.
...chases the dogs around the house. They hate it but we find it to be hilarious and so does Savannah.
...is the happiest, sweetest, cutest baby ever, I love her to pieces and I can't imagine my life without her.

Sorry for the lack of updates, the time change has us all out of whack. Savannah has been going to bed a little bit later which is great because we get more time to play but also sort of bad because by the time we start bath and bed time she's exhausted and VERY cranky.
She's picked speed with her crawling, she's all over the place and it's really cute.
She's also pulling up on everything and walking around the coffee table and her music table. This is one of her new favorite spots:
On top of it getting darker later, dinner seems to be taking a lot longer these days. I'll give you 2 guesses as to why...
Their butts are planted next to her now that her food is a little more to their liking and she's very interested in keeping them entertained. I have considered putting them outside while she eats but I'd rater she get used to them now so we're not dealing with this in a couple years.
She is definitely our daughter, we don't exactly demand more food the way she does but we do get pretty cranky when we're hungry. (There is some vaccuuming going on in the background, James didn't know I was recording.)
We've recently added zucchini, papaya, mango and kiwi to her ever expanding menu. Thankfully she doesn't seem to be anywhere near as picky as I am. Since the only fruits I eat are grapes and apples, I've had some learning to do about when fruits are ripe and when things are in season. She also eats graham crackers (and likes to feed them to the dogs) and occassionally Cheerio's.
graham crackers + no bib = big mess
There was also a brief stint with pureed beef.
It might look like ground beef in the picture but I assure it's more like meat paste. Mmmm, appetizing.
The first night she had it she woke up around 12:45 a.m. with a tummy ache and terrible gas, we weren't sure if it was a result of the beef or something I ate so we went back to chicken the next night. We gave the beef another go two nights later, I'll spare you the gory details but as the result of some projectile vomit we went through 4 pairs of pajamas and took a bath at 4 a.m. James got a stomach bug a few days later so it likely wasn't the beef but we aren't real anxious to try it again anytime soon.
