Exersaucer

Oh my gosh, she loves this thing! I found it at a garage sale on Saturday morning for $7, woo hoo!! She can't quite reach all the toys yet but I'm sure it won't be long.

Brrrr...

We had our first little cold snap over the weekend, it finally felt like fall!

I never thought I'd say this, but now there is a chill in the air, my kid needs more clothes. She's got cute summer outfits galore but pants? Maybe 3 pairs. We've looked everywhere for solid color pants but the selection for baby girls is quite slim, little boys have pants of every color available to them but our only option seems to be pink. And her 3 pairs, you guessed it - pink or mostly pink.

Anyway. She looked so cute in all her cold weather gear that we couldn't resist taking pictures.

She looks like a chunk in this picture, I think it might be the angle - she's definitely filled out but not this much!

I think we need to get some bigger hats too!

The outfit in the above picture was washed a total of 3 times in 24 hours. Her diaper leaked a bit at daycare and because I didn't even think to send warmer back-up clothes, they had to wash it there. Later that night she was nursing and all of a sudden I realized my hand, that was in the middle of her back, was wet. Yep, halfway up her back and obviously all over the outfit. Luckily it all came out so she can wear it again and attempt the trifecta.

Apparently the links for the videos aren't working at all, I'm working on something else!

I am so behind that I don't even know where to start!

**For some reason the videos in this post aren't linking properly, you'll have to copy and paste the links to see them!**

A couple weekends ago Savannah got to meet her Aunt Tonia, Uncle Mike and her cousin Adler! Unfortunately no one even touched a camera all weekend. I was hoping we'd get a few pictures of the two kids together but I think the only time they were even anywhere near each other was when Tonia was holding Savannah and Adler was jealous. Hopefully they'll get a little better acquainted when we see them at Christmas.

Our little bug is balding. At first, because she doesn't move much when she sleeps, it was only on the back of her head but I've noticed in the past couple days that she's getting a little thin on the sides too. I know it's normal but I hope it starts filling in again soon or we'll have to start working on a comb over. :)

She has been babbling up a storm! Unfortunately she seems to be a bit camera shy because every.single.time we try to record the cuteness she starts playing the quiet game! We'll have to work on that camera shy thing, that won't fly in this family. We do have a little bit of it on this video and FYI, James is laying the accent on thick to try to get her to respond, he's not really that country!

Savannah rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time on October 1! Until today she had only done it one other time, I think she was too scared to do it again after the way I squealed the first time! We have been giving her lots of time on her back in hopes that we could capture it on video, but until today she wasn't cooperating. All of a sudden she's got it down perfectly and rolls over every time we lay her down on her back. She's still not quite sure what to do once she gets there but at least she's got it down. And, best of all - we have VIDEO!

And a few random pictures from the past couple weeks, she really is a very happy baby but it's as impossible to photograph her adorable smile as it is to get her babbling on video!

Daddy helped her get her foot there, she isn't doing that on her own yet.

Bad, bad blogger.

Work stinks, it leaves no time for blogging.

-Savannah has a cold and so do I. Fortunately I am able to blow my nose, she has to settle for me using the aspirator (or snucking the snot as I usually refer to it). She is fine during the day and has the cough and congestion at night, I am the exact opposite - go figure.

-Holy crap, formula is expensive. A friend and I went to lunch last week and ran into Publix while we were out, she needed formula and I needed who knows what. She purchased 2 canisters totaling $30, when I inquired as to how long that lasts -- a day and a half!! She does have twins but DANG.

-After about 10 days, her sleeping returned to somewhat normal. I'm chalking it up to a growth spurt. She's up about every 4 hours now but is just hungry, drinks a bottle or nurses and goes right back down. Breastmilk works through the system a little quicker so it doesn't leave her full as long. But like I told someone today, I'd rather deal with less sleep than less money.

-My baby girl is 3 months old! I can barely believe it's been that long since she stole our hearts.

So that's the short & sweet of what's going on, I promise a real post soon - most likely after this weekend when Savannah finally gets to meet her Aunt & Uncle and cousin!

VIDEO! She starts squealing with delight about 20 seconds in, so cute! The video is sideways because we always remember too late that you can't turn video like you can a picture.
