We started our Halloween festivities by carving the pumpkin a few days before Halloween, James did most of the work and Savannah helped a little with getting the seeds out but wanted to wash her hands pretty quickly, mostly she was interested in eating string cheese
James sketched out a few ideas and then let Savannah choose which one to carve, I don't remember what the contenders were but we ended up with a house, moon and witch. It's a good thing that James did the carving, if I had been in charge we would've had a lopsided jackolantern face.
This year Savannah dressed up as Jessie from Toy Story and thanks to Gammie, she had the cutest Jessie costume we've ever seen! Saturday evening after we, ok I, recovered from tailgating for the FL/GA game (thank you ZZ for watching our little Gator girl!) we went to the Halloween party in our neighborhood and Savannah danced the night away and had the best time.
We decided to skip trick or treating in the neighborhood to attend and volunteer at the Fall Festival at our church which is a HUGE event that the church puts on every year for the community in which it is located. We spied quite a few Jessie's there but none as cute as our little cowgirl. Savannah is still a little young for the crowd and was a little scared but she had a fantastic time in the bounce houses, so much so that she threw a tantrum when her turn was over. I'm sure that the lack of a nap that day helped to contribute to the tantrum. Never underestimate the power of a nap.
Bounce house fun.
The best family picture we could get and you can see we bribed her with Raisinets.
Full of energy when we got home!
