We had a really fantastic Thanksgiving, just a day filled with family and fun! We started out Wednesday evening by having homemade Chinese food at ZZ's house - she makes the most spectacular broccoli & asparagus beef and fried rice. I figured Savannah would end up having a hot dog and Easy Mac (why is that my child prefers Easy Mac over homemade mac n' cheese?) for dinner but she actually ate the Chinese food and quite a bit of it.
Thursday morning we met ZZ, Aunt Brandi, Uncle Craig and Fisher at the playground (Savannah's favorite place) in hopes that we would wear the kids out enough that they would take early naps so that we wouldn't have to worry about delaying Thanksgiving dinner. The kids had a fantastic time running, swinging, spinning, climbing and sliding and they both took really long naps. Success!
It goes without saying that our Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic too, I've never had one that wasn't!
